One of Frank Lloyd Wright’s Students Designed This Week’s Most Popular Home

Not everyone can own a home designed by the legendary architect Frank Lloyd Wright. But thanks to his many protégés, there are plenty of Wright-inspired designs dotting the nation’s landscape. And given Wright’s popularity, it’s no shock to see homes created by his acolytes attracting attention.

Take the case of this week’s most popular home on Realtor.com®. Designed by a student of Wright named Alfred Abernethy in 1951, the Tennessee residence hews close to the Usonian aesthetic and served as Abernethy’s private residence for years. The elegant piece of perfectly preserved architecture drew a huge crowd of Wright fans fond of refined finishes and sumptuous surroundings.

Besides the Wright-inspired design, we noted a trend of buyers on the lookout for bargains—seven of the properties on this week’s top 10 are priced under $200,000.

And variety was truly the spice of life: You clicked on old churches, a castle, and a couple of bed-and-breakfasts this week.
