Interior designer Carolyn Pressly, known for creating sophisticated homes in the Hamptons and Upper East Side, has listed own her Tribeca flat at 143 Reade for $8.5 million.
The third-floor unit has been featured in Elle Decor, which showed off her eclectic designs and use of color to sway moods and separate spaces.
With four bedrooms and 4½ bathrooms, the loft-style home also features a media room and an alcove office/study space, along with a balcony.
Details include French oak floors with inlaid brass details, wood beams and cork floors in the library — inspired, she said, by the Plaza Hotel’s Oak Room.
There’s also a chef’s kitchen with mirrored French pivot doors, a large living room with high ceilings and 8-foot-tall steel casement windows and lots of built-in California Closets.
Pressly tells gimme that she is headed for Palm Beach.
“We fell in love with the soaring windows and large space, which we carved into distinct wings — allowing for a quiet master bedroom wing, and a fun kids’ wing and, most crucially, a large home office right by the entry door,” said Pressly. “It’s hard for us to let this place go, but we’re excited about the next chapter of our lives — trading one island for a very different one.”
The listing brokers are Triplemint’s Tyler Whitman and Elliman’s Kirsten Jordan, who both star in “Million Dollar Listing New York.”
