An above 1,000-yr-outdated Cham tower in the central Vietnamese province of Thua Thien-Hue has been regarded as the world’s very first ancient brick Cham tower buried deep beneath the coastal sand dunes to have been excavated and preserved.
Representatives of the Vietnam Information Business (Vietkings) and the Globe Documents Union (WorldKings) introduced the granting of the countrywide and world records to the neighborhood Phu Dien Cham Tower at a ceremony held by the Historical past Museum of Thua Thien-Hue on Monday night.
In April 2001, the tower was identified in the coastal sand dunes of Phu Dien Commune in Phu Vang District.
It was buried in sand from 5 to 7 meters underground.
