Sister station KMBC 9 received viewer video from Plattsburg, Mo., showing lots of lightning as a severe storm moved through overnight. Storms packed up to 60 mph winds, and the National Weather Service received reports of large hail in some places. While tornado warnings were issued overnight in area counties like Clay, Jackson, Platte and Ray counties, things were much worse in areas like north-central and eastern Kansas.
